Buttermere & Crummock Water Canvas Gallery

Canvas Prints of Buttermere and Crummock Water in the Lake District

Buttermere is in the quieter North West area of the Lake District, well away from the tourist hot spots of Ambleside and Windermere. It shares a beautiful valley with Crummock Water, which is also a very picturesque lake.

The views around Buttermere are some of the best in the Lake District. The view at the Southern end of the lake over the famous pines towards Hay Stacks, Fleetwith Pike and High Stile was voted one of the best in the UK. Just beaten by Wasdale Head, Wast Water (i think?).

Because of it’s fairly sheltered position, Buttermere is often calm and reflective in the early mornings. This makes for some lovely serene photographs.

Canvases use 1.5" galley bars of Kiln dried pine. The print is wrapped around the edges.
Printed using the highest quality Epson Large format roll printer, using archival ink (K3) and paper. With lightfastness of up to 108 years for colour and over 200 years for b&w. Framed behind acrylic.
